Croatia has selected 12 used Rafale fighter jets for its air force after inviting international bids as part of its Multi-Role Fighter Fighter (MRFA) programme.

The deal, estimated to cost $1.2 billion (€999 million), involves 10 single-seat and two two-seat F3-sR Rafale twin-engine aircraft.

In November, Croatia's defense ministry began evaluating offers from three bidders after it said it wanted to buy fighter jets to supplement its air force.
