Croatia has selected 12 used Rafale fighter jets for its air force after inviting international bids as part of its Multi-Role Fighter Fighter (MRFA) programme.

The deal, estimated to cost $1.2 billion (€999 million), involves 10 single-seat and two two-seat F3-sR Rafale twin-engine aircraft.

In November, Croatia's defense ministry began evaluating offers from three bidders after it said it wanted to buy fighter jets to supplement its air force.

Croatia will receive the first six Rafale fighter jets in 2024, with the other six planned for delivery the following year.
